Welcome to our website which provides information on the principles and
history of Australia Lodge.
The Lodge was consecrated at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London in 1947
under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England.
The Petition for its warrant stated that ‘the foundation was for the association of
Australian Masons in England’.
The Lodge has four regular meetings each year at the Imperial Hotel,
Russell Square Gardens, London.
(Click
here for map). These are held on the 1st Wednesday of July,
1st Tuesday in April, 2nd Wednesday in November and
the Installation Meeting held on the 2nd Tuesday in September.
With the Lodge going from strength to strength, over the last few years we have had to seek
dispensation from MGL to hold at least two extra meetings per year.
If we are not holding a meeting during the London visit of overseas brethren,
then we would be more than happy to invite them to one of the other Craft Lodges that
meet more frequently during the year.
We rejoice in our International fellowship devoted to promoting the Craft's
main precepts, Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth allied to our special and deeply
held belief in freedom, justice and equality; in the peace and harmony that must
come from tolerance and understanding, from respect for the culture and beliefs of
our fellow creatures.
All areas of this site are available to public view, including those
pages intended for the use of Freemasons.
If you have any questions or comments or would like to attend one of our meetings,
please contact us by email: info{at}australialodge6505.co.uk
